Terms of Service
Last updated June 21, 2026
Acceptance
By signing in to or using LilGup (“the service”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. LilGup is a hobbyist tool provided for personal, non-commercial use.
What the service does
LilGup announces your Twitch streams to Discord and, optionally, lets your Twitch viewers request songs that are queued and played on your own Spotify account. It also shows a now-playing overlay/dock for OBS. You connect your own Discord, Twitch, and Spotify accounts to use these features.
Your responsibilities
- You must own, or have permission to control, the accounts you connect.
- You are responsible for your own compliance with the terms of the services you connect, including the Discord Developer Terms, the Twitch Terms of Service, and the Spotify Terms of Service and Spotify Developer Policy.
- You must use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. It may not be used by or for a business (e.g. a bar, store, or restaurant).
- You are responsible for the content your viewers request and for moderating your own queue.
Spotify usage
LilGup controls playback on your ownSpotify account and device through Spotify’s official Web API. The service does not capture, store, transmit, mix, re-mix, overlap, or rebroadcast Spotify audio, and it does not stream a single source to multiple listeners. Any audio your viewers hear is audio you choose to capture into your broadcast software, on your own account. That is your responsibility, governed by your agreement with Spotify, not part of the service.
The now-playing overlay displays track metadata only (title, artist, and playback progress). It does not embed, synchronize, or mix the underlying sound recording with any visual media.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe anyone’s rights.
- Do not attempt to use it to broadcast or publicly perform Spotify content beyond what your own Spotify agreement permits.
- Do not abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service or the APIs it relies on.
Availability & changes
The service is provided on a best-effort basis and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time without notice. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Disclaimer & liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the service or from any action taken on your connected accounts.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and disconnect your accounts. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated.
