Privacy Policy

LilGup (“the service”, “we”) is a hobbyist tool that announces Twitch streams to Discord and lets streamers run a chat-driven song-request queue on their own Spotify account. This policy explains what data we handle and why. The service is for personal, non-commercial use.

We only collect what we need to make the features work. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

• Discord account. When you sign in with Discord we receive your account identity, the list of servers you are in, and your linked connections (used to auto-detect a linked Twitch channel). We request the identify, guilds and connections scopes.
• Twitch account. When you sign in with Twitch we receive your identity and email, and you authorize channel-point redemption access so song requests can be redeemed. This is an OAuth connection: we store the access and refresh tokens that the authorization issues so the bot can act on your behalf; you can revoke it at any time.
• Spotify account. If you enable song requests, you connect Spotify via OAuth. We request the user-modify-playback-state and user-read-playback-state scopes so we can read what is currently playing and add/skip tracks in your own player. We store the refresh token this connection issues; you can disconnect at any time.
• Operational state. While a stream is live we hold transient state (the current song-request queue and the currently-playing track) to power the OBS dock and now-playing overlay. This is short-lived working data, not a listening-history dataset.

• We never capture, store, transmit, mix, or rebroadcast Spotify audio. We only read track metadata (title, artist, progress) and control playback on your own device.
• We do not build listenership metrics, usage statistics, or user profiles from Spotify content.
• We do not use any data to train machine-learning or AI models.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

• To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• To post stream-live announcements to the Discord servers you configure.
• To run the song-request queue and control playback on your connected Spotify account.
• To display now-playing metadata in your OBS dock and overlay.

Signing in and connecting accounts means your data also flows through the providers you authorize: Discord, Twitch, and Spotify. Each is governed by its own privacy policy. Our use of Spotify content is subject to the Spotify Developer Policy and Terms of Service.

Tokens and configuration are kept while your account is active so the features keep working. Transient queue/now-playing state is discarded shortly after a stream ends. You can disconnect Spotify, revoke the Discord/Twitch authorization from the respective provider, or ask us to delete your account data entirely. Contact us below.
